My heart anguishes for Karen's family. As a close personal friend of Kaitlan, whom we lovingly know as Kat, I would like to offer my love and support. It's a time we all dread, the loss of a parent.
Hopefully there is solace in the knowledge that the people we love still surround us with their presence and guidance, even after they've departed us in life.
Kat, let sadness and tragedy pass through you and leave you. Rise above with strength and perserverance. You are a precious and unique individual, and you are cared for.
Spencer, you're a beautiful young woman with so much ahead! Your mom looks down on you with joy, I am sure.
