LOIS MADARIK Obituary

MADARIK, LOIS HAAS
Lois Haas Madarik passed away peacefully at her San Diego home on Wednesday, October 13, 2010, at the age of 87. Lois was born in Eyota, MN and spent her childhood years in the Rochester, MN area. She moved to California in 1964 and worked for IBM for 23 years. Lois was one of four daughters born to Albert and Bertha Haas. Lois was preceded in death by her daughter, Dana Talley, and sisters Phyllis Pearce and Doris Mount. Lois will forever be remembered by her sister Dixie Stanton, her grandchildren Christopher and Katharine Talley, her seven nephews and nieces along with countless other friends and family whom were blessed to know her. Lois loved her family, friends, playing bridge at the Redwood Bridge Club, world travel and San Diego. Lois touched the lives of many people with her smile, love, and quick wit. Friends and family are invited to attend a memorial service on Saturday, November 13th, at 3:30 p.m. at the Redwood Bridge Club, 3111 Sixth Avenue in San Diego. The family requests all donations be sent to the wonderful people of San Diego Hospice at 4111 Third Avenue, San Diego, 92103, where Lois frequently donated her time.

Lois and 3 others of us motored happily through the byways of France in 1984. We had an adventurous, memorable time. I admired her spirit then and thereafter when we had a reunion lunch each year. God bless her.
