Coach Kida,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss! Although I did not know your father, I would judge him by the legacy he left in you, and as such, I am sure he was a great man. I'm sorry that I could not come down to California this weekend to pay my respects. My thoughts and more importantly, my prayers are with you and your family as you endure this troubled time.
