Dear Diana,Dean & Sherry...and all your families. Its hard to understand why people are taken from us, but take comfort in knowing you were a very special part of your Mother's life...Its what we all live for..to be a wonderful Mother or Father...the best time of our lives is when we take care of our children..and then it reverses and we take care of our parents. Remember the happy memories you carry with you, and all the special times you had with
your Mom & GG.
She was a special lady, and loved it when we took her to Chinese food. She was always a good sport, and dared to live on the edge a good deal of the time. Memories are the legacy of love...and she loved each and every one of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was blessed with a wonderful family that loved her too. My love and prayers are with all of you as you go thru this sad time.

Dear family of Shirley:
Shirley and I worked together as partners on the RSVP of La Mesa for several years. She was fun to work with and was someone I could always depend on.
Also a good friend to both my wife and I, and came by occasionally to visit us, and we also were guests at her home.
She will definitely be missed by all of us who knew her! Love to the family--Jim and Georgia Markley

To the family of Shirley:
My Mom worked with her at Walker Scott and they were dear friends. Mom and I went to her 80th birthday party. My Mom, Doris Forsberg passed away in 2003. I still have pictures of my parents at a Halloween party. They had a lot of fun together. I express my condolences to all the family, she was a sweet lady.

Shirley Whitehead, also known as
"GG" to all of her grandchildren and Great Grandchildren, was a Beautiful,Strong , and Independent woman. She loved her family, friends, and kitty's dearly. As one of her grandchildren, I have many fond memories of GG growing up. One of the fondest is "GG" on her Boogie Board at Carlsbad State Beach riding it all the way to shore right alongside her grandchildren. She had a sense of adventure and love of life that I will miss dearly! I LOVE YOU GRANDMA! I'm sure your spirit will be as strong as you were! I know you are watching over your family and friends! You are missed! ~ Sara
