On the anniversary of Hugh's passing, it is impossible to forget the impact he had on the lives of family and friends. Today, when we see Flo, his children, and even grandchildren, like Molly, performing, a priceless piece of Mac lives on. You are not forgotten, friend.

Dear Flo and Family,
What a beautiful tribute to Mac today. I don't think there were many dry eyes. We have always admired your marriage and family and looked to you as an example of how to raise our own children. We loved subbing in your pinochle group. Mac gave to so many people and organizations... he kindly fixed our doorbell a few years ago. We will always remember his spirit and generosity each time it is used. Prayers to all of you.

Flo, John, Noel, Riley, and Evan,
We are so sorry for your loss. What an honor it was to have met Mac. Our thoughts and prayers go out to you all.

May 5, 2014

Dear Flo,

I have always thought of you as a woman of strength and conviction, with a heart of appreciation and joy, who counts her blessings -- naming them one-by-one. The bond of love, respect and devotion you shared with Mac, is such a blessing that will continue to endure.

What I recall most vividly about Mac (aside from the marvel of his mega-manly-adorableness) is his perpetual grin and quick wit, particularly when exercising an ever-present playful sense of humor. That well of clever-isms never ran dry. Undoubtedly, he kept sharply honed by the good-natured challenge of your cracker-jack comebacks, often punctuated with a burst of giggles. ; )

Flo, the passing of your beloved husband is a great loss. None can fathom the magnitude of such sorrow and void more than you and your beautiful family. It's my prayer each one be comforted in holding fast to remembrances of your time together. Wayne and I join you in celebrating Mac's vibrant life...and the contribution he made to ours. We also rejoice with you, confident with the assurance of his family reunion in Heaven!

Love,
Debbie Rice-Skilbeck
