ELSIE A. FRAYLING

1910 - 2011

Elsie Almeda (Ericson) Frayling, age 101, was called to her eternal reward, to be reunited with her beloved husband, Ted and daughter Eileen, on Sunday, May 30, 2011.

She was born March 31, 1910, near Courtland in Republic County, Kansas. She was educated in the public schools there and at Central College in Kansas City. She followed a career in secretarial-accounting work, holding positions in various schools in the cities where her husband was employed in radio work. She retired from Jefferson Elementary School in 1976.

She was a member of Salem Lutheran Church and served there as secretary and in various other capacities such as President of the Lutheran Womens group and librarian.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Ted; daughter Eileen; brothers Carl and Arnold.

She is survived by granddaughters Kim Eddings (John) of Chino Hills, CA and Jennifer Thomas of McKinney, TX; great grandsons Joshua Thomas of McKinney, TX, Theodore, David and Bryan Eddings of Chino Hills, CA; nephew Michael Postlewait (Sharon) of Overland, KS; special Goddaughter Kristen (Alan) Shore of Bellingham, WA

A memorial service will be held Friday, July 15, 2011, 2:00 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church, 2529 LaVenture Road, Mt. Vernon.
Memorial donations may be sent to Salem Lutheran Memorial Fund.

Arrangements are under the care of Kern Funeral Home of Mount Vernon.
