ALBERT WALCOTT Obituary
He was born July 6, 1947 to Doris (Sturgill) Walcott, and Howard Walcott Jr. in Raymond Washington.
He is survived by Barbara (Larson) Walcott; daughter Angela Fox, husband Jeff; granddaughter, Allison; son, Albert (A.J.) Walcott, wife Ginny; stepson, Larry and wife Sarah; Dale Sturgill (uncle); June Walcott (sister-in-law); and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
A graduate from Raymond High School, he was recruited by Skagit Valley College for the Basketball Program. During that time he spent countless hours studying, playing sports, and driving school bus for Mount Vernon School District.
A graduate of Skagit Valley College and Western Washington University he traveled the United States and Canada working as a Financial Consultant.
His greatest passion was living in Alaska and fishing with his family and friends.
A Navy Veteran he served his country during the Vietnam War stationed in Panama.
An advocate for the Meridian School District he spent his time being on the School Board and helping with many educational resources. An avid sportsman he helped shape the lives of many with baseball, football, and basketball.
His family will be hosting an Open House Memorial at the family home, Saturday, May 14, 2011 from 3pm to 6pm.
