Ruth Beecroft Obituary
Ruth taught in the Sault Area Public schools for 33 years. Upon retirement, she and Bob retired to Orange Beach, AL, eventually residing in Foley, AL. Ruth loved children and enjoyed her job as kindergarten teacher. She also loved church activities and was involved in the AWANA club. Ruth supported the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship.
Preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Robert Beecroft; her parents, Glenn and Margaret Barnes, and a brother, Charles Barnes
She is survived by her son, Bill (Sharon) Beecroft and daughter, Carole Beecroft (Allen) Lewis; one brother, Robert (Ruth) Barnes; one sister, Priscilla Campbell and many nieces, nephews. She is also survived by a faithful companion, Bebe, her pet Chihuahua.
Graveside service will be held from Lay Cemetery, Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 3 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be sent to the Child Evangelism Fellowship of the Eastern UP (Upper Peninsula of Michigan), PO Box 2004, Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.

Rest in peace Mrs. Beecroft. Thank you for loving children and starting their education with gentle understanding and kindness. You were my Kindergarten teacher more than 50 years ago and I still remember you fondly.

Mrs. Beecroft was my kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary School.
I remember making a mother day gift in her class. It was a painted board with plastic flowers and a bird.
I was so proud to give that present to my mom. She was such a great teacher!

Mrs. Beecroft was such a lovely woman. I babysat for Billy when he was small and she was expecting Carole. I really enjoyed knowing her and her family. The world has lost a very special person.

Mrs. Beecroft was my kindergarten teacher at Lincoln Elementary School back in 1980.
After all of these years, I still remember her sweet smile and all of the fun I had in her classroom!
She will be greatly missed.

Mrs. Beecroft was my kindergarten teacher, she was the best. She knew how to deal with hyperactive children even before it was a known disorder. She knew how to make us laugh. She will be missed.
