Oct. 29, 1929 - Oct. 9, 2013 MISHAWAKA - Agnes Henrietta De Meulenaere Kronewitter, 83, passed away early Wednesday, October 9, in St. Joseph RMC, Mishawaka. Agnes was born on October 29, 1929, in Ft. Wayne, IN, to Fred and Viola (Locke) Demske. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings. On August 28, 1948, at St. Bavo Catholic Church, she married John De Meulenaere, who preceded her in death on August 9, 1987. They had five children who survive, Linda Scott of South Bend, Mike (Laury) De Meulenaere of South Bend, Carol (Edley) Robbins of Mishawaka, Steve (Mary) De Meulenaere of Mishawaka and Diana De Meulenaere of Mishawaka. Then on October 17, 1996, she married Frank Kronewitter, who survives along with his children, Karen Aktinson and Rick Kronewitter. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and two brothers, Leonard (Alice) Demske of De Motte, IN, and Fred (Barb) Demske of Osceola. Agnes was a nurse for 20 years at St. Joseph RMC, Mishawaka, and then worked for Precision Piece Parts. For Agnes, family always came first above all else; her favorite thing was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing BINGO and going to Four Winds. She was a member of DeAmicis Club in Mishawaka and the Mishawaka Eagles Aerie 308. Visitation will be on Sunday, October 13, from 2 to 6 p.m. in Hahn Funeral Home, 505 W. 8th Street, Mishawaka. Funeral services will be in the funeral home on Monday, October 14, at 11:00 a.m., with Rev. Kevin Bauman officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Mishawaka.
