So sorry to read about his accident. I remember when he was in the plays at Central.
I was a friend of his Mother and visited her at their home next to Colfax school.
Loved his "words of wisdom!"! He will be missed by all!
Rest in peace dear Jim....

I was saddened to see your smiling face in the obits today for one last time. We spent some good years together, which left many happy memories in my heart. I have never forgotten you and I know I never will forget you. You left a mark in my life, supporting me in my creativity. Soar high my friend.

'Jim was a freelance painter and a very free-spirited person'....is an understatement.
The "Greek" was always a welcome visitor, living proof that being free of conventional bondage made him, and his fortunate acquaintances, revel in life.
With those eyes that smiled, free of material obsessions, he was a big hit with our female staff.
Living out of his van, he would always head to a warmer clime during the winter. Unlike the average 'snowbird', leaving at Thanksgiving and returning on Easter, he possessed a unique timetable.
Leave on Halloween and return on Dyngus Day.
I can't think of a better epitaph.
