Phyllis Plummer Obituary
Oct. 2, 1928 - Oct. 7, 2016
MISHAWAKA - Phyllis Plummer, 88, of Mishawaka, passed away at Sprenger Healthcare on Friday, October 7th. Phyllis was born in Mishawaka on October 2, 1928, to the late Otto and Hazel (Wenmen) Hittig. On July 2, 1948, she married the love of her life, Eugene “Corky” Plummer, who preceded her in death on June 30, 2014. She worked for Mishawaka School City for twenty-four years. Phyllis was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church of Mishwaka. She enjoyed going to the casino and she loved the Chicago White Sox and Bears.
Phyllis is survived by her loving children; Jack (Jolene) Plummer, Jill (Nacie) Mink, Jody Turner and Jay Plummer. She was a proud grandmother of eight, Jack (Sonia) Plummer Jr., Jason Plummer, Kelsey Plummer, Kelley (Brad) Zelinski, Nathan Quier, Charlie Norris III, Joshua Norris and Jacenda Turner. Phyllis is also survived by a sister, Donna May Royer, and a brother-in-law, Perry Keeps. She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer Plummer McMichael, a sister, Molly Keeps, and a brother-in-law, Bob Royer.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, October 13th, from 10:00 am until service time at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 437 Dragoon Tr., Mishawaka. A service celebrating Phyllis's life will be held at 11:00 am, with Pastor Bryan Borger officiating. Bubb Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.

May Phyllis rest in peace with her love, Corky. It was my pleasure to care for both of them and share many laughs. I will miss my hugs from Phyllis after her visits. My deepest condolences to her family. She was so proud of all of you!

Condolences to the family. I will remember her as a great, sweet, and happy lady that was very proud of her family. She was always kind to me and gave me extra food at lunch in the schools and always offered me treats at her home. She will be missed. I'll remember her with fondness.
