Robert Scott Obituary

Robert L. "Bob" Scott Sr., 58, of Estero, FL formerly of Medford Lakes, NJ died Friday, April 22, 2011 at Joanne's House at Hope Hospice. He was born April 23, 1952 in Clifton, NJ, a son of the late John and Willian (Boulware) Scott. Bob graduated from the FBI Academy, was a member of the Int'l Assoc. Chiefs of Police and the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 256. While serving as Chief of Police in Medford Lakes, NJ, he was one of the first responders to the 9/11 terrorist attacks in New York City. Bob was an avid golfer and member of the Copperleaf Golf Club, enjoyed traveling, hunting and fishing. Bob is survived by his beloved wife of 26 years, Frances A. (Whiteley) Scott; daughters, Dawn (Kevin) Gorski of Estero, FL, Wendy (Jimmy) Brown of Ft. Myers, FL; 5 grandchildren; brother, Jeffery (Jennifer) Scott of Basking Ridge, NJ; and sister, Linda. A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Friday, April 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at First Presbyterian Church of Bonita Springs, 9751 Bonita Beach Rd., Bonita Springs, FL 34135. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in Bob's name may be made to Joanne's House at Hope Hospice, 27200 Imperial Pkwy., Bonita Springs, FL 34135.
