Gordon Tessier Obituary

WEST BRIDGEWATER Gordon F. Tessier, age 71 years, passed away Monday, at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, following a three-year battle with Melanoma. He was the loving husband of 45 years of Marilyn R. (Pearson) Tessier of West Bridgewater. Born in International Falls, Minn., he was a son of Opal D. (Stone) Tessier of West Bridgewater and the late Harold Tessier. Gordon was raised and educated in International Falls, Minn., and had been a resident of West Bridgewater since 1967. He was the co-owner and superintendent of Montello Heel Mfg. of Brockton. He also served in the U.S. Air Force, from which he was honorably discharged. He took great pride in his home and yard and enjoyed landscaping, gardening and woodworking. He also was an avid hunter and fisherman. His true joy came from his family and friends, especially his children and grandchildren, whom he loved to spend time with. In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by three daughters, Sheri Anderson and husband Lee of West Bridgewater, Lonnie Pepera and husband Anthony, also of West Bridgewater, and Kristie Bilodeau and husband Wayne of Bridgewater; and his loving grandchildren, Brittany and Daniel Carr, Renee Banks and Tess and Anna Bilodeau. He is also survived by a brother, Larry Tessier of Minnesota. A sister, Barbara Schultheis, preceded him in death. A funeral service will be held Saturday, Nov. 29, at 10 a.m. in the Dahlborg-MacNevin Funeral Home, 647 Main St., Brockton. Interment will follow in Pine Hill Cemetery, West Bridgewater. Visitation will be Friday from 4-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be given to Melanoma Research Fund, Office of Development, c/o Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, 330 Brookline Ave., Boston, MA 02215.
