Gail Lanoue-Brolin Obituary

Gail Margaret Lanoue-Brolin, 65 years of age, passed away peacefully at her home after a valiant 2 year battle with ALS on Monday, May 22, 2017. Gail was born in Boston and raised in South Weymouth. She was a graduate of Weymouth High School. After her marriage, she moved to Abington and lived there for several years prior to moving to Brockton for the last 25 years. Gail had worked as a clerk for many years for the Brockton Housing Authority until her retirement in 2016 due to her illness. She was extremely devoted to her family and enjoyed attending her grandsons baseball games. She loved reading and relaxing while drinking a good cup of tea. Gail also enjoyed her yearly trips to Las Vegas. Her favorite hobby, despite the limitations of her illness, was shopping. Gail was the daughter of the late Henry and Margaret Lanoue. She is the beloved wife of Richard L. Brolin to whom she had been with for 48 years. She was the devoted mother to Kristan M. Lanoue and her fiance Kurt Montgomery of Middleboro. She was the proud and loving grandmother of Logan R. Montgomery. Gail was the sister of Vincent Baldasare of Florida, Denise Lanoue of South Weymouth, Karen Lambrecht of Marshfield, and James Lanoue of Weymouth. She was the sister of the late Dolores Fucci, formerly of Weymouth. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews. At Gails request, there will be no visiting hours or services. Memorial donations in Gails memory may be sent to the Compassionate Care ALS, 752 W. Falmouth Highway, Falmouth, MA 02540. Arrangements by the Peck Funeral Home of Braintree and Weymouth.
