James Deagle Obituary

James Y. Deagle, 56, of Brockton, died Oct. 31, 2010. An avid fisherman, he enjoyed traveling and auto racing and was a former member of the 49ers Club in Bridgewater and the Eagles Club in Arizona. A former machinist at Instron in Canton, he lived in Arizona for four years and bartended both there and Massachusetts for many years. He was deeply devoted to his family and friends. James was the son of Irene R. (Young) and Lawrence Poirier of Canton and the late John A. Deagle; beloved husband of Bonnie A. (Chapman) Deagle since 1978; loving father of James Y. Deagle II and Charles J. Deagle, both of Brockton; devoted grandfather of Elizabeth and Caidyn Deagle; brother of John R. Deagle and his wife Carol of Arizona, John Poirier and his wife Louise of Taunton, Patricia Healey and her husband Tom of Plainville and the late Charles D. Deagle and Lawrence Poirier Jr.; and the brother-in-law of Dianne Poirier of Canton. James also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 4-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, funeral Thursday at 9:30 a.m. in Faith Baptist Church, Stoughton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
