Daniel P. Nunes

Daniel Peter Nunes, age 71, died on March 19, 2015, in Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. He was the devoted husband of Mary Ann (Prentice) Nunes. Born in Plymouth, February 29, 1944, he was the son of Frank J. and Margaret (Medara) Nunes. He was educated in Plymouth and was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1962. Mr. Nunes was the proprietor of the Tackle Shop on Long Pond Road in Plymouth, retiring in 2009. He had also worked for over 25 years at the Jabez Corner Service Station, as well as for the Plymouth County Sheriffs Department where he did clerical work. Besides leaving his wife Mary Ann, he also leaves a son, Peter Daniel Nunes of Plymouth; and a daughter, Catharine Doucette and her husband Michael of E. Wareham. He was brother of the late Frank and David Nunes; and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be private at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of ones choice. Cremation will take place in Vine Hills Crematory, Plymouth. Services will be private at a later date.
