Daniel Peter Nunes, age 71, died on March 19, 2015, in the Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital-Plymouth. He was the devoted husband of Mary Ann (Prentice) Nunes. Born in Plymouth on February 29, 1944, he was the son of Frank J. and Margaret (Medara) Nunes. He was educated in Plymouth and was a graduate of Plymouth High School, Class of 1962. Mr. Nunes was the proprietor of the Tackle Shop on Long Pond Road in Plymouth, retiring in 2009. He had also worked for over 25 years at the Jabez Corner Service Station, as well as for the Plymouth County Sheriff's Department where he did clerical work. Besides leaving his wife Mary Ann, he also leaves a son Peter Daniel Nunes of Plymouth and a daughter Catharine Doucette and her husband Michael of E. Wareham. He was brother of the late Frank and David Nunes and is survived by several nieces and nephews. Services will be private at a later date. Donations in his memory may be made to the charity of one's choice. Cremation will take place in Vine Hills Crematory, Plymouth. Services will be private at a later date. so sorry to hear of Dan's passing. He was always so patient when we stopped at the tackle shop and my 2 sons asked him so many questions. My husband and I always enjoyed talking to Dan at the farm So sorry for your loss.
