Stanley Magee Obituary

Stanley James Magee, 83 years of age, passed away at South Shore Hospital on Friday, Jan. 21, 2011. He was born in Braintree and was a lifelong resident of the town. He graduated from Braintree High School with the class of 1945. He was very athletic and played football while in High School. During the Korean Conflict he served in the U.S. Air Force. Taking additional courses he received a teaching certificate for metal work. Stanley had been a Sheet Metal Worker for the Page Sheet Metal Company of Braintree. Following his retirement he was a van driver for the Braintree Council on Aging for eleven years. He enjoyed riding motorcycles. He was the son of the late James J. and Mary (Harnish) Magee. Stanley is the beloved husband of Charlene A. (Civitarese) Magee. He is the loving father of Pamela D. Magee-Olson and her husband Leon Olson of Avon and Laurie E. Magee-Wayne and her husband Andrew Wayne of Norwell. He is the step-father of Adam Myerson of Dorchester, Heather Myerson and Adrienne Long and her husband Joseph Long, all of Woonsocket, RI and Tara Myerson of Hingham. He is the step-grandfather of Kaylynn and Jacob Myerson and Alyssa Long. Visiting hours will be at the Peck Funeral Home, 516 Washington St., Braintree Tuesday, Jan.25 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. The interment will be private. Memorial donations may be sent to the Braintree Council on Aging 71 Cleveland Ave., Braintree, MA. 02184-4958.
