Meredith Revels Obituary
Revels
COWPENS, SC-- Meredith Ann Blanton Revels, of 139 Crestview Drive, passed away at Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System Tuesday, March 15, 2011. Born April 8, 1940, she was the daughter of the late James Gaither Blanton and Lizzie Viola Blanton. She graduated from Blacksburg High School in 1958. She worked at Shannon Hosiery Mill in Concord, NC, Fiber Industries in Earl, Monsanto at Grover, and Hochest Celanese in Spartanburg, SC. After retiring, she was the secretary/receptionist for Revels Wrecker Service.
Surviving are her husband, Larry Richard Revels of the home; a sister, Melinda Blanton Hulsey of Gaffney; and her brother-in-law, Johnny Hulsey of Blacksburg, SC.
The family will receive friends at the New Hope Outreach Church at 4633 Cannons Campground Road in Cowpens from 6:00-7:30 p.m., Friday, March 18, 2011. A memorial service will follow at 7:30 p.m. conducted by Rev. Bobby McFalls and Rev. Brent Powell.
In honor of her wishes, her body was donated to research.
