Leonard Cromer Obituary
GAFFNEY, SC-- Leonard Cromer, 94, of 3492 Chesnee Highway, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Spartanburg, he was the husband of the late Lillie Littlejohn Cromer to whom he was married for 66 years and was the son of the late Albert Lee Cromer and Mollie Bolton Cromer. He retired from the City of Spartanburg, was a U. S. World War II veteran serving in Europe, and was a member of Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church. He loved gardening, yard work and the Atlanta Braves.
Surviving is a son, Jim Cromer and wife, Janice, of Cowpens; three daughters, Carolyn Johnson of Chesnee, Susie Cobb and husband, Harry, of Gaffney and Shirley Cromer of the home; a sister, Mary Robinson of Spartanburg; five grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; five great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, by a grandson, and by a brother, Tommy Cromer.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 PM on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the residence. Graveside services, with military rites, will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, October 23, 2015 at Springhill Memorial Gardens with Rev. Preston Edmonds officiating.
Memorials may be made to: Graham Chapel Wesleyan Church, 'Life Center', P.O. Box 129, Mayo, SC 29368.
The family will be at the residence, 3492 Chesnee Highway, Gaffney.
