Ann was a gentle and a fun loving person. She and I became roommates at SC State College our sophomore year and she insisted that we continue as roommates throughout our senior year. We didn't see each others throughout our careers, but would talk from time to time and reminisce our good times on campus. She is missed and I was honored to have known her.

I was so saddened to read of Anne's death - she was a mentor to me with the Clemson Extension Service. I followed in her footsteps in both Barnwell and Laurens County and believe me, she was a hard act to follow! She was so dedicated to her job and the people she worked with. She will be remembered for all she gave to educate others. I wish I had seen this earlier as I would like to have attended her services. The family will be in my thoughts and prayers.

You were a great inspiration to me, Secretary, UT Extension, Gibson County Tennessee, as long as you served with Extension in West Tennessee. Your encouragement and kindness has made a huge impression on my life. That was the Anne Sortor I knew; beautiful inside and out.

Deeply saddened to learn of the passing of a gentle soul. Anne, and her entire immediate family, were dear to me as fellow residents of the highland community. Her work speaks for itself. her passing a devastating loss to society. Rest in peace from the Blassingame family.

To the family of Anne,
I'm sorry for your loss. I remember Anne from Highland, and I went to school with her brother Fred. It has been over 40 years since I saw her. She had such a mild personality back then. The whole family were nice people. This is a very nice picture of her. It's good to know that she has done well with her life.
May the God of comfort give you strength, beyond what's normal, so that you may cope with losing a love one in death.
