First, my condolences to the loss of a fine looking lady. I'm just wondering if she may have been a member of my grandfolks ancestry tree. As you may know, the last name has a number of different spellings. My grandfolks spelled either Oksendahl or Oksendal. They passed away in Spokane quite a while ago. They both immigrated from Nowway when they got married in the early 1900s. If you want to know more, contact me.

Our hearts are breaking over this tremendous loss to our family. Val and I were born on the same day and I remember when we were little, Leona used to bake a German chocolate cake for us to celebrate our birthdays together. So many memories both as little girls in Williston and as we went to High School together at Hillcrest. Then, to top it off, she married my dear cousin, Stan. Val and Stan, together with their family have been such a blessing to all of us. Their hospitality has always been so over-the-top filled to love. Val will be so missed, and Stan, you are in our prayers as you walk this difficult journey. Don't hesitate to lean on us. We want to be there for you always!

Stan and family,
You have been in our prayers for the last number of months as Val has fought this terrible disease. Although we take comfort that she is at home in heaven we grieve with you during this very difficult time. Stan, I remember after just your first few dates with Val you knew she was the one you would marry. The time has passed so quickly, we have all been scattered, but we can look forward to our eternal home. Know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Val gave her heart to the Lord and loved Him faithfully. I as a cousin loved to spend time with her hearing her love for her family and how her relationship with the Lord grew and grew. She's enjoying the sweet union with her Lord. Anyone she is with will know her love even more so in the heavenly realms.
So sorry I can't be there to celebrate her life as it will be a sweet fellowship and worship time!
