April 8, 2011
Through the grace of God and his Savior Jesus Christ, Loren went to his heavenly home on Friday, April 8, 2011. Loren was born in Tekamah, Nebraska, to Otto and Lillian Kjeldgaard. He moved to Spokane in 1948. In 1951, he married Nadina A. Leonard. Loren served in the Army from 1951 to 1953. He worked construction for many years with K&K Drywall and Modern Drywall, retiring in 1991. He also worked for District 8 Fire Department from 1968 to 1994, retiring as Battalion Commander. Loren loved farming and taking care of the land. He was a wonderful father, grandfather, friend and neighbor and will be greatly missed by all who were fortunate to have had him as part of their lives.
Loren is survived by his daughter, Laurie Trinkle; his son, Michael (Karen) Kjeldgaard; his brother, Duane (Liz) Kjeldgaard; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held Saturday, April 16, 2011, at 2:00 PM, at Bible Baptist Church, 11111 E. 16th, Spokane Valley, WA

Dear Kjeldgaard's
Loren was the sweetest, most wonderful neighbor a person could ever have. He was there for me in so many ways and I am grateful he was a part of my life.
I like to think he and my grandparents, Duane and Lurabelle, are now sharing a cup of coffee,freshly baked bread and a good laugh. May God bless you all; my prayers are with you.
