(Age 72)

Karen was born January 26, 1939 in Chinook, MT to Asle Ruud and Myrtle Bleken. She passed away on February 15 in Spokane. Karen graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1957 and then went to Lewiston, ID where she attended Lewis and Clark College. On August 2, 1983 she married Ray Winterowd. She worked at Headstart, the Idaho Tax Commission and the Sears Service Center. Karen is survived by her husband of 27 years Ray; children Patrick Murphey of Medford, OR, Matthew Murphey of Spokane, and Pamela Murphey of Kooskia, ID; stepchildren Jack Winterowd of Puyallup, WA, Brian Winterowd of Clinton, UT; stepmother Inga Ruud of Spokane; brothers Clayton Ruud of Spokane, David Ruud of Linwood, WA; five grandchildren Nick, Sean, Tia, Peyton and Lucas, and two great-grandchildren Jaidan and Bailey. A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00 PM, Friday, February 18 at Heritage Chapel.
