Gordon Fanning Obituary

FANNING,
Gordon H.
"Gordy"
(Age 81)

Was received by our Lord on March 29, 2011. He was born on August 20, 1929 to Harold and Irene Fanning in Lewiston, ID. Gordon attended North Central High School. He met and married the love of his life, Iris Parks on August 11, 1956. Gordon joined the US Army and served in the Korean War. Following his time in the service, Gordon would work for the railroad and retire after 30 years. Gordon was an honest, kind and hard working man. He always put his family's needs first. We look forward to joining him in Heaven one day and he will be greatly missed until then. Gordon is survived by daughters, Lindell L. Martin, Kathleen M. Lewis, step-daughter Lorraine Hollenbaek, step-son Bobby Porter, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, brothers Brad and Gary Fanning, and sisters Beverly Ann Martin and Julie Judge. A memorial service will be held at Sunset Chapel located inside Fairmont Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley Ave. Spokane, WA on April 8, 2011 at 1 pm.
