Leslie Johnson Obituary

JOHNSON, Leslie Wayne

Passed away at home peacefully May 9th, 2011 and was treasured by all who knew him...Les was born to Carlos and Christina Johnson October 15th, 1917 in Pocatello, Idaho. Les was a WWII Veteran serving in the Army Air Force from July 23, 1942 until March 17, 1946 on a B24 as a nose gunner. He spent most of his life in Spokane as a sheet metal worker and had many, many other interests. He knew an awful lot about many things and enjoyed creating and repairing, always saying it's never too late to learn. He leaves behind his beloved wife Elsa Johnson; and his three sons, Eugene, Howard, and Roger Johnson. His marriage to Elsa brought a family which included Bud, Steve, Tommy Thomas and Carla Smith. The family branched off with many grandchildren and great- grandchildren...Les was known for having oh so many friends over the years that he cared for and shared much with. Special thanks to the two angels who held his hand and worked so hard to make his passing gentle. The funeral will take place Friday, May 13th at Heritage funeral home all inclusive starting at 10:00.
