Virginia Levitch Obituary

LEVITCH,
Virginia
(Moylan)

August 15, 1927 -
May 30, 2011

Virginia Mae (Moylan) Levitch, a long time Spokane resident, died peacefully on Memorial Day, May 30, 2011, at the age of 83. "Ginny" was born on August 15, 1927, in Spokane, WA, to Raymon E. Moylan and Susanna H. Houger Moylan. She is survived by her husband, Harry Levitch, a retired attorney and former co-owner of Liberty Furniture. Ginny and Harry have resided at Riverview Retirement Community for the last four years. Ginny attended Stevens Elementary and North Central High School. Her marriage of thirty-four years to Gerhard H. Willms included twenty-years as an Air Force wife where she and the family traveled around the country and the world, eventually returning to Spokane. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church for many years and the last 30-years at St. Mark's Lutheran Church. She was also a participant in the Red Hat Society "Divas of Distinction" and the Auxiliary of VFW Post #51. For twenty-two years, until her retirement, she worked as bookkeeper and office manager for a local Spokane law firm. In addition to Harry Levitch, Ginny is survived by her children: Kathleen Graham, Sharon (Dale) Dillinger, Gary (Donna) Willms and Bob (Debbie) Willms; grandchildren: Kristine Dillinger (Dave Norberg), Paul Dillinger, Carrie (James, Jr.) Day, Matt Willms, Amanda and Holly Willms, and great-grandchildren, Alex and Niko Norberg and her third great-grandchild, Autumn Willms Thompson, due in July. Two siblings also survive: Margaret Tollackson and Bob (Pat) Moylan. She was preceded in death by two siblings: Ed Moylan and Marie (Harold) Rooks. The Rite of Christian Burial will be held at St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 316 E. 24th Ave., on Friday, June 10, at 12 Noon, preceded by a private ground interment at Fairmount Memorial Park. A reception following the Memorial Service will be at the VFW Post #51, corner of Washington & Mission. (The first few minutes will include a short "memorial recognition" by the Auxiliary of VFW Post 51.) Memorial gifts may be presented to St. Mark's Lutheran Church, 316 E. 24th Avenue, Spokane 99203, the American Red Cross, 315 W. Nora Avenue, Spokane 99205, or a charity of your choice. Ginny's favorite expression has always been, "..in a minute!" The minutes are now all used up. Now she awaits the Lord's return to take her to timeless eternity.

We are heart broken to hear about out dear friend Ginny. It was because of Kathleen and Ginny that Mike and I met, at Pepperdines 28 years ago on St Patricks Day. Ginny and I spent many hours together, as good friends do, talking and laughing hysterically until all hours of the night. Our prayers are with you and your family Kathleen. Love, Mike and Lyn Morgan

I already miss you mama ... there is a huge void in my life and an even larger pain in my heart! You will forever be my best friend and forever live in my heart. Peace be with you as you wait with all the saints (believers) for the return of our Lord Jesus Christ to take you home. Kathleen
