Gerald Swanbeck Obituary

SWANBECK,
Gerald
Francis
"Jerry"

Of LaCrosse, passed away Sunday, April 3, 2011 at age 86. He was born January 22, 1925, to William and Jo Swanbeck Hynes. He grew up in Spokane, WA, and grad-uated from Rogers High School. He served in the Army and was stationed in Korea. After he was discharged he returned to Spokane and started work for McKesson and Robbins as a pharmaceutical salesman and held this job for 30 years. Later he worked at the Bull Test Station in LaCrosse, WA. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved music. He played piano and as a young man joined several of his friends playing in a dance band. For many Christmases he was a very convincing Santa Claus and played him to perfection delighting both young and old in the family. Jerry was a man of great integrity and left this world a better place just by being here. He will be remembered for his warmth and unyielding kindness. At his request there will be no formal service and he will be laid to rest with his mother and father at Greenwood Cemetery in Spokane. Bruning FUNERAL HOME of COLFAX is caring for the family and on-line condolences may be sent to www.bruningfuneralhome.com.
