Andy Anderson Obituary

ANDERSON, Andy

Andy died on Easter Sunday and the Lord escorted him to Heaven. What a lucky guy! On September 19, 1948 Andrew Ole Anderson was born to Harry and Doreen Anderson. He was survived by three brothers, Harry (Carol), Bob (Gerri) and Steve (Nancy) as well as many nieces and nephews and one great-niece. Andy also left many lifelong friends and his cat, Morgan. Andy loved sports especially the Sonics NBA team. Proof was when he rigged his cable box to see every game at no cost years ago in Lynnwood, WA. Fishing was another one of his loves as he spent many hours with friends and family in all the lakes in Washington that he could. We will have a Celebration of Life for Andy on May 21st from 2-4PM at Cascade Club House, 2311 W. 16th Ave, Spokane, 99224.

Andy at Christmas Time 1985

Andy and I became friends in the late 1960's right after High School. During 1969, '70, '71,and '72 there was a group of us (Rick V., Rick F., Ted T.) that were inseprable. Lot's of fun at the District Tav, Pier 70, Parker's (Aquarius) and others as well as cruisin' Golden Gardens, Univeristy Ave and pardon the expression " Looking for Chicks". We took a memorable trip to Tricities for the Unlimited Hydroplane Races in '71. The summer of '72 Andy and I became roommates for 6 months just before the company I worked for moved me to Sacramento.

Separated by distance we didn't get to see each other often but an occasional phone call and we would connect again. Andy's sense of humor always made our conversations a joy and his caring nature always made me feel comfortable talking with him. Andy's friendship has been with me for 40 years and he will always be in my heart. Gone but not forgotten.
