Arlene Lucille (Wahlen)
(Age 69)
Of Spokane, passed away due to complications from pneumonia Monday, March 21, 2011, in Ogden, Utah, surrounded by loved ones. She was born in American Falls, Idaho to Clarence and Laura Wahlen and raised in Aberdeen, Idaho. She married her best friend and love of her life, Dean Mecham Conrad, on March 28, 1964, in the Idaho Falls, LDS Temple. Shortly thereafter, they moved to Spokane, where they raised five children. Arlene was dedicated to her family and her faith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean Conrad, her parents Clarence and Laura Wahlen, her siblings, Claire Wahlen, Boyd Wahlen, Maxine Smith, and Jack Wahlen, and a grandson, Dean Mecham Conrad III. She is survived by her five children, Wendy Farris (Morgan, UT), Dean Conrad, JC Conrad, and Michael Conrad (all of Spokane, WA) and Melissa Perez (Phoenix, AZ), 15 grandchildren and siblings Gary Wahlen (Mesquite, NV), Karen Waters (Dallas, TX), and JoAnn Bradley (Jerome, ID). Funeral and burial services were held Friday, March 25th in Aberdeen, Idaho. Her children will be holding a memorial open house for her friends and family in Spokane on Friday, April 1st 6:00-9:00 p.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Evergreen Building, 14111 E 16th Ave. Arlene was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend and will be greatly missed!

Dear Conrad family, I loved your parents so very much. I know how you are all going to miss them, but knowing they are together again will bring great comfort and peace to you all.
