Beverly Steed Obituary

STEED, Beverly C. Entered into rest on October 15, 2009 at her home in Coulee Dam, WA. She was born in Thibodaux, LA, on December 10, 1921 to Leon and Clothilde (Bourgeois) Clement. Beverly had a happy childhood growing up with her brothers and sisters in Thibodaux. Even though she lived miles away, she kept in close times with her family in Thibodaux. On February 18, 1945, she married Wade L. Steed. In 1945 they moved to Coulee Dam, where they made their home until their deaths. One of Beverly's greatest joys in life were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Beverly was a member of St. Benedict Catholic church in Coulee Dam where she was active in Altar Society and taught CCD classes to area children or many years. She was an early member of the Isle of Flags and a present day member of Grand Coulee Dam Area Seniors and St. Henry's Catholic church. Beverly was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and four sisters. She is survived by daughter Elizabeth Bock of Grand Coulee, daughters and sons-in-law, Evelyn and Ben Alling of Coulee Dam, Beverly Steed and Fred Macias of Lakewood, six grandchildren, Carolyn Waldow, Amy and Tracy Ledgerwood, Steven Bock, Wade Alling, Raoul and Paul Macias, eight great grandchildren, Lauryn and Makenna Alling, Shawn Bock, Bryson Fry, Logan and Colby Ledgerwood, and Justin and Sophia Waldow. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held Friday, October 23 at Strate Funeral Home at 7:00 PM. Mass of Christian burial will be October 24, at 11:00 AM at St. Henry's Catholic church in Grand Coulee. Interment will follow at Spring Canyon Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Coulee Dam Area Seniors Mean Program. STRATE FUNERAL HOME of Grand Coulee is in charge of arrangements.
