Billee L. (Rice)

In loving memory of Billee (Rice) Fredriksen. Born April 2, 1932 in Tacoma, WA, graduated from Lincoln High School in 1950. She married Frederick Rice in 1957. They settled in Spokane in 1971. Billee is the mother of four children: daughter Leni (Rice) Eddington of Camarillo, CA, and sons Lawrence Rice, Edward Rice and Douglas Rice, all of Spokane. She is grandmother to eight grandchildren: Derick, Scott and Megan Eddington, Tyler and Jacob Rice, Connor Rice, Madeline and Henry Rice. Billee worked as a secretary for doctors, medical clinics and hospitals throughout her adult life. She retired in 1990 from Spokane Community Mental Health Center. In 1991 she remarried (Alan D. Fredriksen) and moved to Whidbey Island, WA. After his death (2000) she lived in Camarillo, CA and finally to Spokane. Billee died peacefully on March 2, 2011 with her family by her side. Her interests included gardening, sewing, knitting, genealogy, church service, camping, hiking and lake fishing, oil painting, puzzles and TV sports. She was known for her selfless service to her family and friends. A memorial service in honor of her life will be held on Saturday, March 12 at 11:00 a.m. in the LDS ward building at 5302 E. Greenbluff Rd., Colbert, WA.
