Carol Eddy Obituary

EDDY,
Carol E.
September 27, 1919 -
March 17, 2011

Carol left us unexpectedly on March 17, 2011. She didn't even get to wear her new shamrock socks.
Carol Eddy was born Carol Elizabeth Snow in Cusick, WA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl D. Eddy, who passed on their 66th anniversary, October 4, 2006; and two brothers: Harvey Snow and Stanley Snow. She is survived by three children: E. Dawes Eddy and Mary Kay, Joann S. Davis and Rick, Steven J. Eddy and Mikie; six grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren; brother-in-law, Richard Eddy; nieces, nephews and cousins.
Carol started her life in Cusick and her married life took her to CDL, ID, Spokane WA, Encinitas, Atascadero and Weaverville in CA and Brookings, OR, which was her favorite. Her last home was at Riverview Retirement, where she was independent and still driving!
Carol was a petite woman with an extra large spirit. She wrote the most wonderful letters that kept all her family and friends in the know. She loved traveling, hiking, fishing and gardening. She never lost a tomato growing contest. Her sticky buns were a special delight and she made them for all of us. She also had an affinity for all dogs and cats.
Carol's positive attitude and humor made her an always welcome addition. She had an interest in all things. No moss grew under her feet.
Words cannot express how much she was loved and will be missed. All of the family feels so fortunate to have had her with us for 91 and 1/2 years. Each day of our future will be lightened by remembering one of our many special times with her.
A private family memorial is planned at a later date.
