Dale B. Ehrmantrout Sr.

1934 - 2017

Dale passed away January 5, 2017. He was born January 15, 1934 in Bowman, North Dakota to Anton and Luella Ehrmantrout. He had fond memories of growing up on the farms in North Dakota. The family settled in Bonner's Ferry, then Coeur d'Alene. He then joined the Marine Corps and proudly served four years. After his service he married Alice Wayne in Coeur d'Alene. They soon moved to Spokane and had three children. Dale retired from Food Services of America (Pacific Fruit and Produce) in 1992. He enjoyed a long retirement, loved to fish and take care of his family. He had eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. He was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was preceded in death by his parents, step father Elmer Barnes, brother Bill and sister Donna. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Alice, sons Dale Jr. James (Sandra) and daughter Laura. Brothers Gene (Betty) and Milo. His life will be celebrated at a funeral mass at 11:00 am January 21 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church 545 E Providence Spokane. Reception to follow.
