CARBARY, Dennis Lyle

May 24, 1949 -
February 24, 2011

Passed away at the age of 61 from cancer at the VA Hospital in Spokane, WA with his family and friends around him. He was born in Spokane, WA. He is survived by his wife Penny Carbary and Daughter Wanda Jones and son-in-law Jake Jones, Daughter Xandria Dumler and son-in-law Josh Dumler. Four grandchildren: Dawn and Dezirae Jones, T.J. and Hope Hawkins. Preston Carbary, his brother and family of the Spokane area. He served in the U.S. Army from 1967-1983, was in the 101st Airborne Division, Vietnam Veteran, with numerous medals/ribbons to include, the Bronze Star, Vietnam Cross on Gallantry with Palm. He was a Drill Instructor for five years, and then went into the Construc-tion Business for a number of years. He loved to watch NASCAR racing and football, he enjoyed gardening, cooking, barbecuing, but his most favorite passion was fishing and being with his family. Memorial Services will be held Saturday, March 19, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at the VA Hospital's Chapel, 4815 N. Assembly. He was a great husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, he's dearly missed.
