Donald Croswhite Obituary

CROSWHITE, Donald Clayward
(Age 88)

Passed away April 16, 2011 in Spokane, WA. He was born on December 21, 1922 in Lamar, CO, the son of Roy Lee and Leila Croswhite. His family moved to Centrailia, Missouri and he graduated from Hallsville High School in 1942. Donald went to work at A.B. Chance Company as a tool and dye machinist. He joined the US Army during WW II and was awarded four Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart in service to his country. After he was discharged he returned home and married Mary Anna Hicks on May 31, 1945. He also returned to A. B. Chance Company until 1962 when he moved his family to Bentonville, AR, where he worked for Hoyte Corporation as a machinist in Roger, AR. Due to poor health Donald moved to Mica, WA to be near his family. While living at the Spokane Veterans Home at 6:15 am, he was dressed and putting on his shoes that he hated to have tied and God said one shoe is enough and took him home. Donald is survived by children, Roy Irl Croswhite and wife, Sharyle, Charles Richard (Buddy) Croswhite and wife, (Cathy), Timothy Lee Croswhite and wife, Shelley: 11 grandchildren and 25 great- grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Mary Anna in 1985 and son, Donald Clayward Croswhite Jr. in 1965. Memorial services for Donald Croswhite will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2011, at 1:00 pm, at the Valley Assembly of God Church. Burial will follow on Monday, April 25, 2011 at the Bentonville City Cemetery in Bentonville, AR. HAZEN & JAEGER 1306 N. MONROE in charge of local arrangements.
