Passed away May 3, 2011 in Coeur d' Alene.

She was born June 28, 1923 in the Rimrock area of Garwood, ID to Rathdrum Prairie pioneer farmers, Arthur and Charlotte Foster. Dorothy attended 1st grade in Garwood, then moved, with her parents to Post Falls. In 1936 the family moved to Tekoa where Dorothy graduated from High School in 1941. She was a self taught bookkeeper and began her career with Dorsey Chevrolet in Tekoa. In 1945 she came to Spokane to work for the next 16 years as the bookkeeper for Harms-Rofinot Chevrolet (later became Camp Chevrolet).

She moved to Coeur d' Alene to be closer to her mother and was employed by Knudtson Chevrolet for several years. In 1965 she returned to Spokane where she became office manager for Becker Buick, GMC retiring in 1990.

Dorothy was a fifty-year member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority.

During her life, she maintained friendships with JerryLou Hawkins, Helen Zimmerman, Diana Rappe, Gordon Kauffman and a special friend, Jack Blackburn, her tablemate at the Harvard Retirement Center.

She is survived by several cousins: Myron and Lois Aldrich of Wisconsin, Oris Aldrich of Wisconsin, Neola McDonald, Merlin Bissell and Vicella Waxon.
