Died April 14, 2011 at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Spokane, WA. He was born April 11, 1951 in Dayton, WA to Wesley E. and Ramona M. Maier. He served his country in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. He had recently been employed in sales for the Washington State Troopers Magazine. Gary was the life of the party, always wearing a smile and willing to give you the shirt off his back. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He is survived by a son, Jordan Maier, Tillamook, OR; a daughter MacKenzie K. Maier, Salem, OR; one grandchild; three sisters, Marcella K. (Randy) Wilcox, Laurel J. Nill, Kelly A. Aronson, all of Spokane Valley, WA; numerous nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Michael and Loren. A gathering for family and friends will be held in June. Cremation.

I love you uncle Gary. You will be greatly missed. I know that you're in heaven now with Lynny, grandma, grandpa, mike and Loren. You're probably up there making everyone laugh. I hope you know how loved you were, and always will be, and how much you will be missed. You're forever in our thoughts, love your niece, Rachel.
