Passed away on April 30, 2011, in Spokane, WA. Jon was born in Spokane, WA to Memphis Johnson and Mary Lou Van Riper on May 3, 1970. He is survived by four children, Marquis Johnson and John Johnson both of Spokane, WA, Rashon Johnson and Jon Johnson Jr. both of Phoenix, AZ; sister, Janette Hogan, brother, Thomas Johnson, brother, Joseph Van Riper, sisters, Lynette Johnson and Jennifer Stanley, all of Spokane, WA, sister, Sheila Lee, of Sacramento, CA. He was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation on Monday, May 9, 2011, from 3:00-8:00 P.M. at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 A.M., Tuesday, May 10, 2011, at Calvary Baptist Church, 203 E. 3rd Ave., Spokane, WA. Interment Fairmount Memorial Park.

Miss u bro. none other can take your place as long as i live. i still gotchur bak, even in death. remember when i moved to phoenix in 93 u said, u got my ban and i gotchurs, and that still remains to this day. i remember when u told on me at the center for wrecking someone's bike when we was 14yrs old...always gonna b remembered

I knew Jon for 8 years or so. We first worked together driving limos. We would lose touch and inevitably always cross paths, sometimes a year or two apart. About a year ago we realized we worked next door to eachothers companies. Every time I saw him he made me laugh. . He was always smiling. . .his infectious smile. I still am having a hard time grasping that he has passed. . .I find myself looking for his smile every day at work. He will never know how much he is missed. . . By all who knew him. I thank god I had the honor to know him.

Jon, there are not enough words that can be said to describe you and your personality, one that comes to mind though is AMAZING. You ALWAYS had something to say, wether it required a reply or not, and it was ALWAYS FUNNY. You will TRULY be missed!!

Jon Johnson will be truly missed. He was a good guy and was very much like and loved. I had the pleasure of meeting Jon back in 1994 when we both worked at Motorola.
