Peacefully passed away on May 1, 2011 in Carson City , NV. She was born November 5, 1926 in North Dakota to John and Katherine Dinius. She moved to Post Falls, ID with her parents as a small child and spent the majority of her life there. She married John Brown in 1950 and raised four children in the Pleasantview/Post Falls area. They later divorced. She loved to travel, read, cook, and spend time with family and friends. She spent several years cooking the Cowboy Breakfast at the Pleasantview School.
She is survived by her son Terry Brown of San Francisco, daughters Carolyn Brown of Coeur d'Alene and Sue Burke (Bob) of Washoe Valley, NV. Grandchildren Michelle Geiskopf (Jeff), Jodi Dayborn (Mica), Crystal Brown and Jared Brown. Great-grandchildren Taylor , Joelle, and Rihanna. Sister and brother-in-law Joyce and Myron Hodgson, sister-in-law Dorothy (Dinius) Rausch, nieces Debbie Forbes and Paula Hodgson, nephews Br. Claude Lane and Jake Hodgson. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Don Dinius, son Michael Brown, and nephew James Lane.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday May 22, 11:30am at the Pleasantview School, 18724 W. Riverview Drive, Post Falls, ID.
