(Krautkraemer)

Beloved mother, grand-mother, great-grandmother passed away peacefully in her home on April 18, 2011. Louise was born on November 18, 1921 in Menasha, Wisconsin to a loving family of eight siblings. She attended St. Mary's High School and was valedictorian of her graduating class.
Her family was the absolute love of her life and she enjoyed attending numerous family gatherings and especially her grandchildren's sporting events. She is survived by her children, John Ames, Spokane, WA, Margaret Ames, Seattle, WA, Major General Ray and Cynthia Fox, Arlington, VA, Catherine and Allan Starr, Vancouver, WA, Elizabeth Sparrow, Plano, TX, Robert and Kathy Ames, Minden, NV, Timothy and Kerri Ames, Spokane, WA; 18 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren as well as three on the way.
Lou worked successfully in civil service for over 25 years and ended her career at Bonneville Power Administration where she received numerous outstanding performance awards.
In her retirement she volunteered her time and talents to the Sisters of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary. Lou enjoyed endless hours of working on word games and crossword puzzles. She spoke passionately about politics and world events. Her favorite season was the spring and the planting of her vast array of flowers. She was a faithful member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church for over 40 years. As a Zag mom and grandmom she was an avid fan of the Gonzaga basketball teams. Go Zags! She also took great delight in feeding and watching the birds and squirrels that inhabited her yard.
She will be deeply missed by her many devoted family and friends. Mass of Christian Burial will be held Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:00 A.M. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 219 E Rockwood Blvd., Spokane, WA. Private Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.
