Born on May 16, 1938 in Pomeroy, WA; passed away on August 7, 2011 in Spokane, WA. Lurane had been recently widowed by the passing of her husband, Nathan Johnson after 53 years of a loving and special marriage. Nate and Lurane were best friends and confidants throughout their lives. Lurane graduated from Mead High School in 1956. She retired from Interlake School and Lakeland Village as an Adult Training Specialist after many years of dedicated service for which she received numerous accomodations, including Washington State Employee of the year in 1988. Her hobbies included knitting and gardening. Nate and Lurane are survived by their son, Eric Johnson who currently resides in Seattle, WA. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, August 12, 2011 at 10:00 AM at RIPLINGER FUNERAL HOME AND CREMATORY, 4305 N. DIVISION, SPOKANE, WA. Online guest book available at www.riplinger.com
