CLARKE, Mariah Annie Edith
Born at her home on E. 3rd St. in Spokane April 7, 1923 passed on January 25, 2011.
Survived by her five children, Alan Hall Colville WA, Edith Roche Sequim WA, Jan Hall Mineral Pt. WI, Clair Erwert and Karen Erwert from Spokane. Also noteworthy, are the ten grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren born to us.
Mariah, or "Rilah", as family called her, grew from a skinny kid to be a State Champion swimmer on Liberty Pool's Team, an artist, a successful parent. She was a draftsman for Radio Engineering at Fairchild AFB during the war and a champ in Master's Swimming during her senior years. Living in Dishman since 1954, Mae instilled in her family the love of humor, intelligence, art, music, ethics, and most important, a sense of wonder. We love and miss her. We honor her.
A reception is planned for Sunday, February 6, 2011, at 304 N. Sargent Rd. from Noon to 4PM. All are welcome.
