Nancy Templeton Obituary

STORER,
Nancy Lynn

"Nana" "Aunt Nan"
"Nanny" "Nance"
Born Nancy Lynn Templeton on May 16, 1960 to Jim and Donna Templeton. She joined older sisters Gwen and Lisa and was followed by sisters Helen and Mary. The girls grew up all over Spokane, and as much as they moved around, they always had each other - and some amazing memories!!
Nancy was blessed with two wonderful children, Elizabeth and Nick. Her relationships with her children were so important to her and she was always very involved in their lives.
In November 1990 she married Dave Storer, the love of her life. They took on many adventures together, but none more important than being Nana and Papa to Aletheia, Mercedes, Gemma, Kyron, Sylas, Jali, and Shyanna. Nana loved her kids so very much and you would seldom find her without one or several of them around.
Nancy touched so many lives in her short 50 years, which was evidenced in the constant flow of visitors in her final days.
Nan is preceded in death by her dad, Jim Templeton and her brother-in-law, Dennis Porter. She is survived by her devoted husband Dave, children Liz and Nick, four sisters - Gwen, Lisa, Helen, and Mary, mother and stepfather Donna and Jack Garrett, stepmother, Chris Walker and half-brother, Marc Templeton, her beloved grand-kids, numerous nieces and nephews and countless "adopted" family members, especially Wendy Higgins, who was an amazing support for Nancy in her last few months.
The family would like to thank Dr. Danko, the 3rd floor staff at Valley Hospital, and Hospice of Spokane for their amazing and gentle care. Services will be held on March 19, 2011 at Sons of Norway 6710 N. Country Homes Blvd. at 2:00 p.m. Reception to follow. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to Hospice of Spokane www.hospiceofspokane.org.

Nancy was always so joyful and such an encouragement to everyone around her. I remember her strong faith always evident in my time with her at Victory Faith Fellowship. My prayers are with all of the family.

I remember Nancy as a little girl and how her eyes would light up when I would do some silly card tricks for her and her sisters. I know she kept that wonderful smile and shining eyes. I know how much she will be missed. Her Dad was always so proud of her and her sisters. Yes the spring is glorious. Love Uncle Don

Through Gwen I had the pleasure of meeting Nancy. As with all the Templeton girls, their hearts are big, their smiles can light a room and their spirits are strong. I believe with all my heart her spirit will be close to each and every one of you. May the loving memories of Nancy move easily from grieving to comforting.
Blessings to all the family.
