Norman Bishop Obituary

BISHOP,
Norman

Norman Bishop was born on August 3rd, 1934 and passed away March 26th, 2011. Our beloved husband, father and grandfather passed away peacefully in his sleep still holding hands with his loving wife of nearly 55 years Carolyn. Dad was born in Fort Gay West Virginia to Gus and Mary Bishop. He was the baby of ten children. Our family came to Spokane in 1969 to visit a relative. He fell in love with the beauty of Washington State, the lakes, rivers and mountains. He went back to Ohio packed up his family and moved to Spokane. He was an avid fisherman and professional musician. He loved nothing more than to take his family on camping trips- rain or shine. He also was an epic storyteller and jokester. Norman and Carolyn owned and operated Window World until retirement. They chose to run a business together so they did not have to be apart even for work. Norman is survived by his wife Carolyn, his four children- Jesse, Chris, Kathy and Jerry. There were 11 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Dad lived and breathed for his family-absolutely nothing mattered more to him. His whole life revolved around them. He always made sure we were all taken care of. Our hearts are broken at our loss and until we can all get through our grief he will still be right here beside us. Only then will he feel free to enjoy his place in heaven.
Services will be held at Genesis Church, 14415 E. Sprague, Spokane Valley, WA, Friday April 1st, 2011 at 2PM.
