Pamela Christenson Obituary

CHRISTENSON,
Pamela Jean

Tribute to a
Beloved Mother, Wife
and a Wonderful Life

Pamela Jean Zollman-
Christenson peacefully
passed away at age 51,
on March 7, 2011, in Ben
Lomond, CA. She was
born on July 10, 1959, in
Spokane, WA, to Donald
Eugene and Marjorie Louella Zollman. She is survived by her husband, Curt Christenson and their two sons, Joshua and David. She is also survived by her three brothers Jeff and wife Carey Zollman, Mike Zollman and Joe and wife Darcy Zollman and many nieces and nephews.
Pamela was a free spirit that did not need worldly goods; she only wanted life's basics, health and happiness for her friends and family. She was always willing to help anyone that was in need. She volunteered at homeless shelters, battered women's shelters and various other non-profits. She was a "people" person and felt great satisfaction in helping others.
Another of Pam's passions was reading, whether it was fiction or non-fiction, she loved it all. On many occasions Pam could be found enjoying a book and relaxing for hours. Pam had a fabulous memory; she could recall things as far back as when she was just a few years old. When we visited the family property in Montana, she would point out spots along the drive where their family would pull off the road to picnic and swim. I know Pam would love to have lived on that property along-side her cousins Dawn and Scott Lemon. She loved nature and the outdoors, not to mention Flathead Lake.
Pam's personal passion was anything water related and she loved to swim, the water could be near freezing and if she could, she would go swimming. She could float on her back for hours. She was so comfortable in the water; she would actually fall asleep and take a nap while floating. Wherever Pam's journey took her, she would collect a shell or rock as memorabilia and when asked about them, she could recite where she was, what she was doing and how the weather was, just like she was there.
She could be seen reading the Bible or the Guide Post since she was very interested in living life according to God. Although she did not attend church as much as she wanted to, she had true belief in the Lord. The clipping below that was found on her kitchen table the day she passed;
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD,
"plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give
you hope and a future" - Jeremiah 29:11
If you would like to do something in Pam's memory, please reach out and help someone in need, Pam would love that.
Pam's Celebration of Life will occur in Spokane, WA, this summer. If you would like to be contacted, please call the home number, 831-609-6011, and leave your name and number.
