Ruth Marie (May) Lucas was born is Stacyville, Iowa and moved to Spokane, Washington while in her teens. She married James Lucas in 1952. She has been a resident of the Waterford for the last two years. She was a devoted mother and wife. She enjoyed gardening, cooking and animals. She is survived by many friends and relatives. Her children: Ann Gannon and husband Bern and their sons Brook and Blaze; Mark Lucas; Valerie Neilson and her children Terra and Dean, Tom Lucas; Tracy Lucas and wife Shawn and their children Jacqueline, JD and Lakota. We invite friends and family to join us to celebrate her life at a reception, planned for Saturday, May 21, 2011 from 1-4PM at Center Place, 2426 N. Discovery Pl., Spokane Valley. I am sorry for your loss. May you continue to hold at heart all the memories you shared and find the comfort in our God who is the God that brings comfort to all those that are mourning. Isaiah 61:2 "because he will swallow up death forever. Isaiah 25:8 "at last, death will be brought to nothing.
