Patrick Shea Obituary

SHEA, Patrick John 02/13/1986 - 07/31/2009 Patrick's (They call me "Pat") life filled with physical challenges since birth came to a peaceful end Friday night, July 31st, surrounded by his loving family. Born in Portland, OR to John and Joan Shea, Pat never let his disabilities stop him from enjoying life, and bringing joy to all those around him. He shared his dad's love of sports, and was an avid Trailblazer, Beaver, Seahawks and Mariners fan. He attended school in St. Johns, OR. After the death of his father, Pat moved to be with his family in Spokane Valley and continued his education at Barker High School where he graduated with several "special" friends. He loved the staff at Barker, and they became a second family to him. He also enjoyed visiting his friends at the North Central Community Center. Pat attended Valley Assembly of God where he was an honorary greeter. Pat was preceded in death by his loving Father John, and recently his Uncle Michael Shea. Pat is survived by his family in Spokane Valley including Grandma Raelene and Pap Proch, Grandpa Pat Shea, Aunt Mary and Uncle Billy (and Pat's ball throwing buddy Hanna) Ferger, Aunt Barbara Irgens, Uncle Steve Shea, Aunt Debbie Bigos, and family members in Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and California. He is also survived by his Mother Joan and Brother Matthew of Portland. A celebration of Pat's life will be held Saturday, August 8th at 10:30 a.m. at Valley Assembly of God, 15618 E. Broadway, in the small chapel. To share his most loved passion, you are invited to wear your favorite sport teams' attire, or colors of celebration! Pat blessed us for 23 wonderful years, and we will forever have special memories of his "unique" personality, and the many sayings he would come up with. Whenever asked about something, Pat replied, "Got It Guys" with a thumbs up! He will truly be missed by all who knew him, and we will always have a special place for him in our hearts. Please sign Pat's online guestbook at www.hennesseyfuneralhomes.com. Arrangements have been entrusted to:

I remember later someone told me the doctors said he would never walk and boy were they wrong it just showed everyone how strong and wonderful you were. I love you and I will never forget you.
