Ralph Baynes Obituary

BAYNES, Ralph Francis (Age 79) A lifelong resident of Deer Park and Clayton, Washington, passed away on Saturday,September 11, 2010. He is the dear husband of Norma E. Baynes (married 51 years) and father of Steven Baynes ofClayton, WA; and stepfather of Collen Sasser and Nancy Leavitt of Spokane. Mr. Baynes' sisters are Agnes Daughtery of Deer Park and Virginia Warner of Kent, WA. His brother, James Baynes, resides on the ranch in Clayton, WA. Born in 1930 at Colville, Ralph attended Clayton Grade School and Deer Park High School and served with the United States Army seeing combat action in Korea during the KoreanConflict. He was a logger, worked at the brick plant in Clayton, and then for Melvin Mullenix as a truck driver. He is a member of the V.F.W., Post 3067 in Deer Park. A Memorial Funeral Service for Mr. Baynes will be at 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 24, 2010, at the V.F.W. in Deer Park. LAUER FUNERAL HOME in DEER PARK, WA

I was married to Ralph's step-grandson several years ago and have very fond memories of driving out to Deer Park on Saturdays every once in a while to visit with him & Norma. He was a wonderful person and he will be missed by everyone who had the good fortune to know him.
