Raymond SNARR Obituary


News Death Notice

SNARR, Raymond 64 of St. Paris, passed away Tuesday, June 12, 2012 in his home. He was born September 2, 1947 in Piqua, Ohio the son of the late Charles Bauer and Ruth Anne (Wiant) Snarr. Raymond graduated from Graham High School and from Urbana College. He also attended Bowling Green University. He retired from the Champaign County Engineers Department after several years of service. He was very active in the Knights of Pythias # 28; he was past chancellor of Ohio & currently serving as Grand Secretary of Ohio and had served as Past Imperial Regent from the NA & Royal Prince of the DOKK. He was a member of the Westville United Methodist Church, the Mechanicsburg Lodge #113 F. & A. M., the Champaign County Genealogy Society, the Civil War Round Table, The Grotto, numerous other lodges and associations and was very active in the election poles. In the past, Raymond enjoyed bowling and golf. He is survived by his wife, Teresa (McConkey) Snarr; his sister, Natalie Jo Snarr, numerous cousins, niece, nephews and other family. A gathering of family and friends will be held from5-8 p.m. on Friday, June 15, 2012 in the VERNON FUNERAL HOME, Urbana. The Knights of Pythias services will be held at 8:00 p.m. followed by Masonic services. Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, 2012 in the funeral home with Rev. Eldridge Meadows officiating. In Raymond's memory memorial contributions may be made to the donor's favorite charity. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.vernonfh.com.

Teresa, so sorry to hear of
Ray's passing. I was a Snarr cousin and we had lunch together when you drove through Connecticut a few years back. I live in Punta Gorda FL now. Blessings.
